JOB POSTING - production Intern

Our innovative and growing company is looking to fill the role of Production Intern. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting across all areas of our work including, but not limited to, video editing, assisting on shoots, live event support, administrative tasks & bookings, equipment maintenance, inventory management and additional responsibilities as advised.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting on shoots, assembling, setting up and using equipment and fulfilling any other duties as advised by the producer/production team.

  • Maintaining, repairing and managing equipment in the production studio. Packing and preparing equipment for shoots.

  • Organising equipment and asset stock for filming and hire, ensuring equipment is logged in our system and stored correctly.

  • Run errands such as purchasing supplies, props, equipment, food and other necessary items for projects.

  • Communicate with writers, directors, managers and other members of staff to ensure a smooth running of projects.

  • Support staff by answering phones, taking detailed notes during meetings, inputting data into computer systems and performing other tasks as required.

  • Assist editors with logging backup of footage/media and ensure content is archived as advised by the production team.

  • Creation and editing of digital video content for internal and external communication.

  • Publish, organise and optimise media on websites such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.

  • Live stream assistance.

  • Managing studio bookings.

  • Help maintain our studio spaces.

  • Assist with keeping website content updated.

  • Perform other duties as requested by staff to ensure all necessary tasks are performed in a proficient manner that adheres to the quality expected from the company.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Live streaming engineer/Events coordinator 

Global Fire Creative is a full service creative video production company established in 2009. We work for big name brands managing live or virtual events and creating high-quality video content. 

We’re currently a team of 9 creatives covering most areas of production and we are currently looking for a new member to join our Live Services department. 

The role

As part of our team you would help with the management of events, virtual events and live streams through the full life production cycle. You would work alongside a small team and be intrinsic to the growth of this area of the business.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all quotes correctly reflect the level of service. 

  • Work with clients to ensure the editorial and running orders of events meet the objectives.

  • Ensure the successful delivery of livestreams and events from concept to completion.

  • Manage clients on a day-to-day basis, taking responsibility for the delivery of projects

  • Help clients determine the best solutions to meet the communications needs of each event

  • On-site and off-site management of webcasting and live streaming events

  • Drive all event testing, quality control, and post-event review practices.

  • Act as an in-house expert on video streaming options and related technologies, including live video accessibility technology.

  • Build processes for reliability, repeatability and scalability of events activities.

You

  • A proven experience running live streamed and on-demand events.

  • An ability to operate effectively in a highly pressured live video environment

  • Good knowledge of encoding/mixing software/hardware (VMix, Blackmagic, NDI, Dante etc)

  • Understanding of web compression technologies and browser compatibilities

  • Experience and understanding in the setup and configuration of a network for connectivity, streaming, NDI and Dante. 

  • Project management experience delivering events on time and on budget.

  • Exceptional organisational and customer service skills.

  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot technical issues, propose solutions, and maintain composure and flexibility in stressful, deadline-driven situations.

  • Resourcefulness, attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Ability to self manage time and organise multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to make independent decisions while also collaborating across teams.

Work often requires flexible hours including occasional evenings, overnights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):

2 years related experience organising, producing, or assisting with events and/or live streaming productions in a technical capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Supervisory or management experience.

2-5 years of related experience is strongly preferred.
